HAMMOND, Ind. (AP) — Prosecutors say they’re still determining which confidential items they can share with attorneys defending an Elkhart woman accused of providing tactical gear and funds to two Islamic State fighters.

The Post-Tribune reports that Assistant U.S. Attorney Abizer Zanzi told a status hearing in federal court Thursday that the government has already shared discovery that is not confidential with the attorneys for Samantha Elhassani.

Citing national security, Zanzi says items subject to the Classified Information Procedures Act will only be shared if the information is “relevant and helpful” to the defense.

Elhassani pleaded not guilty last year to conspiracy to provide material support to IS, and aiding and abetting individuals in providing material support to the group.

Lawyers on both sides say they’re on track for the January 2020 trial.
