Police: 127 pounds of cocaine found in SUV floorboard on I-94

Officers thought a driver was acting suspicious during a traffic stop on I-94 and it turns out it they had good reason to think so.

On Friday morning, March 15, officers found 127 pounds of cocaine in a hidden compartment built into the floorboard of the driver’s SUV.

The driver was a 43 year-old Toronto, Canada man, who alllegedly said he was paid to regularly deliver the car according to instructions.

He faces felony counts of dealing and possessing cocaine.

He was pulled over for following too closely and changing lanes without signalling on a stretch of the highway in Porter County.

Nearly 50 vacuum-sealed bags of the drugs were hidden under the third row seats.
