Granger man, 34, arrested on meth, false ID charges in Dowagiac

A 34-year-old Granger man has been arrested on meth-related and false identification charges in Dowawgiac.

It stemmed from a traffic stop for a vehicle with an improper registration, on Tuesday, March 19, on East Division near Railroad Street.

Three people were in the car. Investigators say the Granger man, who was among the passengers, gave police a false I.D. Upon checking his real name, police leader he had a valid warrant for his arrest.

A police K9 sniffed out narcotics, meth and meth paraphernalia, according to Dowagiac Police, who say they also found possible stolen propety.

The Granger man was arrested on charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Providing False Identification to a Police Officer, and the original warrant.

The driver of the vehicle was cited for improper registration and released along with another passenger.
