Search warrant at South Bend home nets meth, heroin, cocaine and arrests

An investigation that began from citizen complaints culminated with a search warrant being served at a home in South Bend.

Around 7 a.m. on Friday, May 3, Indiana State Police executed the warrant at a hoem in the 200 block of N. Taylor Street.

Troopers located and seized suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, paraphernalia, and a handgun that was allegedly possessed by a felon, according to a news release from Indiana State Police.

Jerome Hayes, 43, of South Bend, was arrested on preliminary charges of Violent Felon in Possession of a Handgun, Dealing Heroin, Dealing Cocaine, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Cocaine, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

Patricia Phillips, 28, of South Bend, was arrested on preliminary charges of Dealing Heroin, Dealing Cocaine, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Cocaine, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

Shelby Toth, 23, of South Bend, was arrested on preliminary charges of Dealing Methamphetamine and Possession of Methamphetamine. Toth was also arrested for having active arrest warrants from St. Joseph County, LaPorte County, and Lake County.

Hayes, Phillips, and Toth were taken to the St. Joseph County Jail.
