There were more than a thousand degrees handed out Tuesday night by Indiana University South Bend.

The ceremony at a packed Joyce Center at Notre Dame saw students receive I-U degrees from the programs at the South Bend school.

Indiana University was founded in 1820, and as the school prepares for its 200th anniversary next year, they reminded the class that they were the last class of I-U’s second century, and charged them to make the most of their new opportunities.

The University of Notre Dame’s commencement will take place on May 19th.
