The father arrested earlier this week in a Silver Alert situation in South Bend has been charged with three felony counts of domestic violence against his girlfriend.

These include one count each of Criminal Confinement, Strangulation, and Intimidation.

31 year-old Adam Rushing, 31, was expected in court on Friday, May 22, and faces up to 24 and half years if found guilty on all counts.

The investigation says he is accused of also taking the minor children with him and dropping them off with a relative.

Court paperwork indicates that Rushing had been granted physical and legal custody of the 6-year-old.
