Guilty plea from Michigan State Police trooper accused of embezzlement

A Michigan State Trooper who was accused of embezzling thousands of dollars from the Central Cass Fire Department has entered a guilty plea.

Jesse Binns admitted to taking the money and pleaded guilty to a charge of failing to keep public money safe.

His plea agreement includes restitution and he will be sentenced on June 21.
