Notre Dame associate Vice President arrested for OWI

An associate Vice President with the University of Notre Dame was charged with an OWI, and with leaving the scene of a crash.

The St. Joseph County Police report that they responded to a call about a crash in the 51 thousand block of Portage Road on Wednesday. They spotted a vehicle sitting on the side of the road, being driven very slowly by 61 year-old David Harr.

Police say he appeared to be swaying when he exited the vehicle and his blood alcohol content was .16 when tested.

Harr had a previous OWI conviction from last year. He’s listed as the Associate Vice President for Auxiliary Operations, a role he’s filled since July of 2011.
