Five people rescued from roof during house fire

South Bend firefighters rescued five people from a house fire. It happened early Tuesday morning, June 25.

The South Bend Tribune reports crews arrived to the home in the 400 block of S. Albert Avenue to find two adults and three children standing on the roof. It was two adults and three children.

It’s believed the fire began in the kitchen.
