The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office has identified Melody Griffith, 38, of Three Rivers as the driver that crash at US 20 and State Road 15.

The collision happened late Wednesday night, June 26.

Investigators say she left the road, crossed a median, went into a parking lot, and hit a cement barrier. She was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The initial release did not detail a cause for the crash.
