The driver in a fatal crash with a bicycle on Brick Road last October has been sentenced.

Thursday, 23 year-old Carlos Williams was given a four-year sentence in the Indiana Department of Corrections, and a two-year license suspension. He pleaded guilty to a felony count of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.

The crash happened on October 10 in the 24000 block of Brick Road shortly before 7 a.m.

61 year-old Ishayaa Diya was riding his bike when he was struck and killed. The investigation led to Williams after he attempted to have his broken windshield replaced at an area body shop.

His passenger, Ashlee Nicely, is due to be sentenced for her role in the incident on July 8.
