Drowning victim from South Bend found in Lake Michigan

Officials searching for a teenager from South Bend who went missing on Saturday while swimming in Lake Michigan say his body has now been located.

Seventeen year-old Rahem Mason went missing off Washington Park in Michigan City around 7 p.m. Saturday. The Washington High School student did not resurface after going underwater.

His body was found in waters off Berrien County. Chikaming Township Police were called around noon on Thursday after the body of a black male was found. He has been identified as Rahem Mason.
