Police investigating Monday afternoon shooting in South Bend

Officers responded to a report of a shooting Monday afternoon in the 1000 block of Lincoln Way West.

A 21 year-old victim was taken to the hospital with a head injury after he was reportedly shot in the face.

No other details were immediately available about his condition.

Police were looking for a suspect in a dark-colored 4-door sedan, possibly a black or dark blue Ford Fusion. It’s believed one or two people were in the vehicle at the time.
