Teenager Drowns in Cass County Lake Tuesday

Law enforcement in Cass County say that 19 year old Janelle Miller and a group of people were boating on Long Lake in Union, Michigan, when they decided to stop and she went for a swim.

That happened around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13. After getting into the water, Miller wasn’t seen again.

It took search crews several hours to find her body, and at this time they don’t believe that alcohol was a factor.

The investigation is still ongoing.
