Arrest made in Friday shooting near Teacher’s Credit Union in South Bend

An arrest has been made in the shooting Friday near a TCU branch in South Bend.

It happened near Ireland and Ironwood, when a 21 year-old man was wounded in the shoulder.

31 year-old Maurice Conley was arrested for battery with a deadly weapon and criminal recklessness. Police believe a road rage incident between two women was the motivation for the shooting.

The man who was injured was attempting to break up the fight. His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
