South Bend liquor store offering special incentives to discourage thieves

A liquor store in South Bend is offering a popular incentive to track down those responsible for a recent robberies and boost their loss prevention efforts.

The Blarney Stone on Portage Avenue is instituting a “Customer of the Day” program. On social media they are offering free alcohol to people who provide them with information after shoplifting incidents at the store.

To assist that process, they are also posting photos of the thieves as they were allegedly caught on their numerous security cameras. One alleged thief has already been identified through customer efforts.

ABC 57 reports that the Blarney Stone has already noticed a drop in thefts since the incentives began.
