An employee with St. Joseph County’s Adult Probation tasked with administering drug tests has been arrested on suspicion of trying to obtain a cash bribe in exchange for falsifying drug test results.

Raymontow Davis, 34, was arrested at the County-City Building around 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 27.

His arrest was the culmination of a Drug Investigation Unit investigation with cooperation from the Adult Probation department.

Davis made calls and texted a person on probation, offering a third party urine sample in exchange for $150, according to court documents.

The person on probation told authorities and, on Tuesday, the deal went down, with Davis was allegedly caught on video with the cash, according to the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office.

Davis is charged with felong bribery and official misconduct. He’s set for court on Thursday, Aug. 29.

If convicted, Davis could spend more than 8 years in prison.
