South Bend firefighter sentenced after pleading guilty to OWI

A South Bend firefighter was sentenced to spend five days in jail after being arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Daniel Dobski, 52, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and driving a vehicle with a blood alcohol content over .15 after his arrest in July, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

A third charge, operating while intoxicated – endangering a person was dismissed, ABC 57 reported.

Dobski was sentenced to 365 days in jail, will all but five days suspended.

He was placed on leave by the fire department after his arrest.
