Alcohol, marijuana believed to be factors in Cass County crash

Alcohol and marijuana are believed to be factors in a crash that took place in Cass County.

The collision happened around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sep. 7, on M-51 and Crystal Springs Road in Pokagon Township. 

A 60-year-old Dowagiac man was traveling southbound when he lost control of his vehicle and ran off the roadway, rolling his vehicle multiple times, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver was unharmed, however, his passenger suffered injuries and was taken to Lakeland Hospital in Niles.
