Police searching for suspects following two shootings in Benton Harbor

Benton Harbor police are currently searching for suspects following two shootings that happened Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.

Just before 10 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to the 900 block of Ogden Avenue on reports of the first shooting.

The victim had left the scene and was driven to a local hospital. He was later transferred to Borgess Hospital where he is currently listed in critical condition.

Then, just before 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, police were called to a second shooting in the 900 block of Lavette Avenue. There they found a 44-year-old Benton Harbor resident wounded by gunfire.

The victim is currently listed in stable condition.

No suspect has been identified at this time, however anyone with information related to either case is being asked to call the Benton Harbor Tipline at (269) 927-0293 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-342-STOP.
