Elkhart Woman’s Murder Trial Moved Up

The murder trial for an Elkhart woman has been moved up, as it was determined she is mentally competent to stand trial.

51 year old Cindy Goodwin is accused of shooting and killing 50 year old Johnny Mullins in April of 2018, and underwent psych evaluations to determine if she was fit for trial. The Goshen news reports that two of the three evaluations cleared her.

The trial had been set for February 3rd, but will now happen Oct. 7th.
