The Jimtown High School teacher took down the politically motivated materials after a complaint from the Northern Indiana Atheists group on the behalf of a student and their parents.

WSBT reports the complaint noted signs or sometimes bumper stickers that supported conservative positions like being pro-life, and it also suggested that the teacher in question would often talk to students about right wing ideas.

Baugo administration released a statement saying that their reviewed the report and determined that the materials needed to be removed, even though some of it was actually given to the teacher by students as part of a classroom discussion tool. They also said efforts will continue to ensure teaching techniques honor a clear separation of church and state.

95.3 MNC has chosen not to identify the teacher in question as the school district officially chose to keep his/her information confidential.
