Local Student Arrested for Bringing Gun to School

The firearm never left the glove box of Marshawn Johnson, but given his age, and a lack of a proper license, he shouldn’t have even had it in the first place.

Rise Up Academy officials found out about the gun when Johnson and another student started talking about fighting and shooting one another. First they searched the students, and finding nothing, decided to check their vehicles just in case.

ABC 57 reports the gun was stolen in a burglary in 2017. Johnson was immediately arrested, and is facing expulsion.
