Police pursuit ends in crash Thursday in South Bend

A high-speed police pursuit ended in a crash Thursday afternoon in South Bend.

Indiana State Police first attempted to serve a warrant on a person wanted for a level two felony at a home near the intersection of E. Battell Street and Division Street.

The search turned into a pursuit which ended with a crash at Lincolnway East and S. Ironwood Drive just after 2 p.m.

The suspect vehicle collided with a civilian’s pick up truck. The civilian was uninjured, but the suspect complained of minor injuries.

Police also report finding approximately 292 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, 30 grams of suspected heroin, 31 grams of suspected marijuana and schedule 4 prescription drugs in the suspect’s vehicle.
