South Bend Police investigating Tuesday night shooting

South Bend Police are investigating after a shooting occurred Tuesday night.

Police were first notified of a ShotSpotter activation in the 1300 block of W. King Street around 8 p.m.

When officers were investigating the area, they were notified by a local hospital of a walk-in victim that came in around 8:20 p.m. with a wound to the lower leg.

The 18-year-old victim reports they were on W. King Street when they got into an argument with another person and shots were fired.

Police have not provided any suspect information at this time.
