A man has been arrested for the murder of a South Bend man last month.

Jason Collins is in custody for the stabbing death of Trey Martinez, who was found dead on September 29 near Marine Street in South Bend.

Collins has been charged with Felony Reckless Homicide, which could lead to as many as six years in prison.

Collins claimed that Martinez was strangling him during a fight, and he stabbed him in the neck. Court documents say Martinez left the house after he was injured and died a few blocks away.
