Animal Control, police seize more than 100 animals from Cass County home

More than 100 animals were seized from a Cass County residence last week.

Cass County Animal Control and the Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at a home in the 24000 block of May Street in Edwardsburg after reports of animal cruelty.

Officers located more than 100 animals in varying states of health living in deplorable conditions.

At this time, the suspect’s name is being withheld pending arrest and arraignment.

Police are asking anyone with information related to this case, or any other criminal activity, to call the Cass County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at 1-800-462-9328 or Animal Control at 269-445-3701.
