Fire crews in South Bend had a busy morning with a couple house fires early Monday, Nov. 4.

The first happened at a home at Johnson and California around midnight. The other happened about an hour later at a home near Walnut and Sibley.

Both homes were vacant and nobody was injured. No word on any cause for either fire.
