One of the world’s medical technology leaders, Medtronic, will be moving some jobs out of their Warsaw facility.
According to a company e-mail, the Warsaw plant will remain open and continue to manufacture other products. There is no word, yet, on the exact number of people whose jobs will be affected.
They say the total impact sill happen in phases during the next two years.
The email read in part, “Throughout the company’s global locations, we consistently evaluate our operations to advance growth, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen our position for the future. As a result, Medtronic is transitioning some manufacturing from the facility in Warsaw, Ind., to other Medtronic manufacturing facilities within its operations network. The Warsaw site will remain open and continue to manufacture other products.”
