A pair of schools in South Bend and Mishawaka went into brief lockdowns Monday.

The first happened shortly before 9 a.m. at Clay International Academy after a phone call claimed that someone walked into the school with a gun. Police determined the call was a prank.

Then, around 1:45 in the afternoon Mishawaka High School went into lockdown for about an hour. Superintendent Wayne Barker said it was a precautionary measure after a threat was discovered on a social media post. It was deemed not credible and students were dismissed on time at 3:10 under the watchful eye of the police.

No further details have been given from either district and the investigations are ongoing.
