A Niles woman was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and leaving the scene after a two-vehcile crash on Baron Lake Road in Howard Township.

The collision happened around 9:20 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23.

Deputies believe that a pick-up truck driven by the 44 year old suspect failed to yield at the intersection to a southbound vehicle driven by a Dowagiac woman, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

The victim was taken to Lakeland Hospital in Niles for non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses followed the suspect until deputies caught up to her, ABC 57 reported.

She also faces a count of driving without a license.
