An Elkhart woman was killed in a roll-over crash on County Road 17.

The collision happened around 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24, north of County Road 26.

Cynthia New, 51, was traveling northbound on CR 17 and drove off the roadway, colliding with a concrete culvert in the ditch, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office.

The Chevy Silverado she was driving overturned several times and caught fire.

New was not wearing a seatbelt, according to police.

She died at the scene.
