An Elkhart woman has been arrested for allegedly attempting to smuggle drugs into a correctional facility.

Officials at Westville Correctional Facility say they discovered 34 year-old Jessica Duffield in possession of a controlled substance while she was in the visiting room.

Charges are pending from the LaPorte County Prosecutor’s office.
