Arrest made after armed robbery of Approved Cash Store in Niles

Two armed suspects robbed the Approved Cash Store on South 11th St. in Niles Township just before 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30.

Officers from the South Bend Police Department found the vehicle used in the robbery at an nearby apartment complex.

Officers and Detectives then worked with the St Joseph County Prosecutors Office and conducted a search warrant at one of the apartments and found items tying the individuals to the robbery.

One of the suspects, Jahari Dmontey Lenoir, 21, was located near the vehicle and was later arrested and lodged at the St. Joseph County Jail on Armed Robbery charges and will be awaiting extradition back to Michigan.  

The second individual was identified and charges will follow.
