Bridgman officials are looking for volunteers who can help fill sandbags for the effort to protect the Weko Beach House.

Erosion continue to be a concern along the lake shore, and the city’s Parks and Recreation Department says they’ve received 1000 sandbags from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. But those bags need be filled, so the city is looking for people to help out.

Anyone interested should be at Weko Beach Saturday at 10 a.m. and is encouraged to bring a shovel.
