The Michigan State Police seized an amount of fentanyl during a traffic stop on I-94 that was described as “alarming.”

Troopers pulled over a vehicle driven by a California man that had three kilograms of the drug. That’s enough for three million doses of the powerful synthetic opioid.

Capt. Michael Brown says it’s not typical of what they see day to day, and a small dose of the drug can be deadly.

The arrest happened Thursday on I-94 in Van Buren County. A passenger was also questioned and released.
