Former Indiana inmates in South Bend make a large toy donation

The South Bend Community Re-Entry Center, a part of the Indiana Department of Correction, has made a large toy donation to the Monroe Circle Community Center.

The men at the center were challenged to buy gifts for the children of needy families in the community. They stuffed the bus that’s used to transport them to and from their re-entry jobs with toys that were distributed with the help of Granger Community Church members.

The warden at the center says the project gives the men a sense of selflessness that they can use as they return to the community.
