His attorney says Salvatore Anello, the grandfather of the Granger toddler who fell to her death from a cruise ship, is not interested in a plea deal.

Anello faces a negligent homicide charge in Puerto Rico, where the tragedy took place in July. His defense attorney says he plans on putting together a team of experts to analyze the scene of the incident in preparation for a trial.

His next court date is set for January 27. The family has condemned the lawsuit against him.
