Longtime fruit farm in southwest Michigan closing for good

Sad news from Eau Claire as the well-known Tree-Mendus Fruit Farm is closing for good.

The news comes after recent word that the man at the helm of the longtime family operation was sickened by rare Eastern Equine Encephalitis.

According to a statement posted on Facebook, he can no longer run the farm or business and the family is focused on his care.

The family also posted a huge “Thank You” to all their customers throughout the years.

A Go Fund Me page has been set up to help with medical bills.
