Some tension in Warsaw as the cities school district has yet to respond to a letter from an atheist organization about Christmas stories that were allegedly told at an elementary school.

Lincoln Elementary is the school in question, in a letter to the district from The Northern Indiana Atheists, teachers are accused of reading students stories about the birth of Christ and others about Christian ideology.

The letter specifically says they are worried that ” prophesying” to students. What the districts response will include isn’t clear. The teachers have not been without support. A prayer gathering was held outside of the school on Monday.

Northern Indiana Atheists says further action would be dependent on the response from the school.
