Outpost Sports is advertising a “retirement sale” and a “downsizing liquidation” for later this week, leading to questions about the future of the business.

ABC 57 reports that the store closed on Sunday to prepare for the sale and signage on the door says the sale begins Thursday. Though the sign points to a retirement sale, the owners have yet to announce their retirement.

Outpost Sports has been in business for over 47 years, and the future is unclear for the store, and the three locations they operate along Lake Michigan.
