UPDATE: Kaeclin Marie Shepard and Makayla Ann Snyder were found safe on Friday evening. Snyder was arrested on invasion of privacy and transported to the Elkhart County Jail.
ORIGINAL STORY: On Friday afternoon, Jan. 24, officers were contacted in reference to a Goshen Middle School student, Kaeclin Marie Shepard, 13, who left the school property after classes ended with a Goshen High School student, Makayla Ann Snyder, 18.
The two girls were last seen behind the middle school.
The two girls are believed to be together and may be runaways.
Kaeclin is insulin dependent diabetic and requires regular insulin injections. Kaeclin does not have her medication with her. She will need her injection within twelve hours, according to police.
The parents of the girls are asking for the community’s assistance.
