An Indianapolis man wanted for murder in Marion County has been arrested in Edwardsburg.

Curtis Baker is charged with the murder of Alfred Hayes in a bar. It was back in October when Hayes suffered a gunshot wound to the chest during an argument at the Broad Ripple pub.

Officers with the Ontwa Township Edwardsburg Police Department arrested Baker after getting a tip he was close by. Edwardsburg Police and the Cass County Sheriff’s Office watched a home for about two hours before Baker was spotted walking across the parking lot of a gas station. A plainclothes cop then drove to the parking lot and approached Baker as he left the convenience store.

He was taken into custody without incident.
