MONTROSE, Mich. (AP) — A Michigan teacher has denied a request from a student with two mothers to write about same-sex marriage for a class assignment.

M-Live reports Destiny McDermitt, a junior at Hill McCloy High School in Montrose, was given an assignment this month to write a speech discussing an issue they felt strongly about and to take a stand for or against it.

The teacher, who the district isn’t naming, allegedly told McDermitt she couldn’t write about same-sex marriage because the topic could offend someone in the class.

That child doesn’t have two mothers. She has one mother and then her mother’s co-pervert. GOD established marriage and He defined it – one man + one woman for life!!

Sick of the liberals saying gay marriage is ok when God says it’s not.

More PC nonsense forced on students by a teacher... February 25, 2020 at 1:17 pm

Teachers are to teach academics. Not morality. No one should allow a teacher to determine what may offend some fictitious student at his\her whim. Point is this kid should be able to write about whatever regardless of “offending” another student. I agree that gay marriage is not a marriage in the eyes of God. Not relevant to this story. Relevant is we can’t offend anyone in the class room…PC bulls%^t.

Maybe this student should write about the fact that Teachers are not the parents and need to stop trying to be.
