Michigan releases estimate on erosion road damage around the state

Ten roads in Berrien and Van Buren counties have been damaged by erosion, to the tune of $3.5 million.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg, according to the County Road Association of Michigan.

heir estimates suggest more than $37 million in damage statewide, with nearly 90 miles of pavement damaged or otherwise impacted by lake erosion in 133 places around the state.
