Man hospitalized in critical condition after shooting in South Bend

A man was taken to the hospital in critical condition after a shooting in South Bend.

Officers were called around 2:15 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, to the 400 block of N. Olive Street after a Shot Spotter Alert.

When they arrived, they found a man who had been shot and was unconscious.

The man was taken to Memorial Hospital.

The Investigative Bureau’s Shooting Response Team responded to the scene and has taken over the investigation which is still ongoing.
