A Niles man was killed after being pinned underneath his vehicle.

The incident happened around 5 p.m. on Friday, April 17, in the 1100 block of Huntly Road in Howard Township.

Kenneth Charles Horner Jr., 45, was working on a vehicle when the jack supporting the vehicle failed, causing the vehicle to fall, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

When people at the home found him they lifted the vehicle, pulled him out and began CPR until medics arrived.
