INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — More than 200 people upset over restrictions on Indiana residents because of the coronavirus protested Saturday outside the state mansion of Gov. Eric Holcomb.
They want him to back off and restart the economy.
People carrying signs and American flags stood close together along the street outside the home in Indianapolis.
Cars passing the scene honked in support, although the rally wasn’t as large as a similar event Wednesday in Michigan.
One sign said, “If Holcomb’s job is essential, everyone’s job is essential!”
Holcomb said a stay-at-home order that expires Monday will be extended to May 1 while he works on a plan to reopen businesses.

He is trying to save Americans lives, and I am sure there isn’t 200 people up in his grill.
Someone has to be in charge to protect us that are trying to abide by the law.His job is a
essential, how else would we know what’s going on.I understand the need to go back to work
I understand the need to make money,I understand the phobia of being confined to your home.
If he opens the city back up out of pressure, who will be the blame, people will blame him for more
deaths then what is happening now. Then there be protesting over that.Everyone is in need of money,
to pay bills and food, but if your dead won’t matter.
I would not want the governor’s job. People will complain regardless. I’m not complaining … I’d rather be alive.
Thank you to everyone who makes it possible for some of us to stay home.
Totally agree I am one that’s hates staying in but it’s better to be safe than sorry. I’m struggling to pay the bills but it can’t last forever
Amen Connie!!! I nor anyone else could have put that any better than you did. Thank you. People let’s understand something here… PEOPLE ARE DYING HERE EVERYDAY!!! What is wrong with you??? Nothing is more important than that!
