Coronavirus forcing more Hoosiers out of work

The coronavirus is forcing more Hoosiers out of work.

Almost 31,000 people filed for unemployment in Indiana last week, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.

That’s down from 42,290 from the week before, a change of 11,599.

About 642,000 Hoosiers have filed for unemployment over the last seven weeks.

The Department of Labor says 2.9 million people across the U.S. filed for unemployment last week.
