President Trump will be in Michigan on Thursday.
The president has scheduled a tour of a Ford ventilator assembly plant in Ypsilanti this week. It’s a site where the automaker has been focused on assembling ventilators to help with the nation’s coronavirus pandemic response.
This marks his first trip to The Great Lakes State since before the pandemic, when he spoke at an auto parts plant in Warren on January 30 to praise the passage of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement trade deal.
Ford and GE Healthcare began producing ventilators on April 20, with a goal of making 50,000 of them by mid-July.
